Ozone API Expands Global Team and Grows Footprint In LatAm

Ozone API, developer of the leading standards-based software for open finance, has expanded its global team with a key new hire which will strengthen its presence in the LatAm region.
Fabio Caldeira joins Ozone API as General Manager, LatAm, after recent roles as Head of Operations at Solvace and as the New Platforms Manager at TecBan.
He will work with Ozone API’s customers and strategic partners in Brazil’s world-leading Open Finance ecosystem as well as growing its footprint across LatAm. Fabio’s focus will be providing banks, fintechs and financial institutions with the open API technology that enables them to grow and thrive in this new world of open finance.
The founders of Ozone API led the development of the UK Open Banking Standard – which served as the global blueprint – and are now working in leading open banking ecosystems around the world. Fabio first collaborated with Ozone API during his time at TecBan, which operates Brazil’s ATM network.
Fabio is particularly excited about the potential for open APIs to help banks serve their customers more effectively and grow beyond their current channels and revenues.
He said: “Banks across LatAm face challenges in building products which take advantage of the capabilities of Open Finance. Our main goal is to provide customers with the technical foundations which help them to build a new layer of services.
“I am very pleased to be working with Ozone API once more. It is an honour to collaborate with the pioneers who designed the world’s first open banking standard. The future in LatAm is very bright and I look forward to playing an important role in the future of Open Finance across the region.”
Huw Davies, Chief Commercial Officer and Co-Founder of Ozone API, said: “We are delighted to welcome Fabio to the Ozone API team. Brazil and the entire LatAm region are at pivotal stages in the development of Open Finance, and we look forward to working even more closely with our partners and customers to help them comply with regulations and go beyond compliance to build new revenue streams based on open APIs.”
