Ozone API employees empower children through the “Magical Gullak” initiative in India

In a heartwarming display of community engagement and social responsibility, employees at Ozone API in India recently embarked on a remarkable journey with a profound social message. Partnering with SEVA SAHAYOG—a distinguished social organisation dedicated to cultivating mindful citizenship—we coordinated a meaningful event aimed at uplifting underprivileged students from a local village school.

The premise of the event was simple yet powerful: to decorate and personalise “gullaks” (piggy banks) while imparting invaluable lessons on financial literacy.

Ozone API employees sat alongside the children, brushes in hand, and witnessed the magic unfold. There were vibrant colours and heartfelt conversations, and we shared the significance of cultivating a savings habit and nurturing aspirations for a brighter tomorrow.

The essence of this initiative, “Magical Gullak”, resonates with the core values of financial literacy and the importance of saving for the future. Our team had the privilege of interacting with bright young minds, aged from 13 to 14, and together, we embarked on a transformative journey. At the pinnacle of the event, amidst smiles and exchanged dreams, each child penned down their aspirations and nestled them within their “Magical Gullak.”

The experience was nothing short of profound. The earnestness radiating from the children, coupled with their insatiable thirst for knowledge, left an unforgettable mark on all of us volunteering from Ozone API.
